Rhythmic Chaos
at Delaware Division of the Arts Mezzanine Gallery
March 4th – 24th
The Mezzanine Gallery highlights work of Delaware artists who have, or hope to receive an emerging artist or established artist grant award. This was my first exhibition as a Delaware artist, and an excellent opportunity for me to design a new body of work for a new audience.
The parameters that the gallery space provided were unique. I was limited to making smaller sculpture- and as you know that concept is rather foreign to me. In addition, none of my suspended sculpture would fit the bill- as nothing could be hung from the ceiling in the Mezzanine gallery. In the end, I’m happy to have been challenged by these constraints, and look forward to making more intimate sculptural work – of course I don’t think it’s possible to stop making the larger work, so no worries fans! I hope that you will visit the Mezzanine Gallery to see my new work and work of select Delaware artists.
Next month, my friend Joe Deltufo is exhibiting some of his amazing photography, not to be missed!
