FIBER METAMORPHOSIS

The focus of this five-week course is to experiment with materials derived from fiber. Materials could include any number of papers found or bought –the odder the better: adhesives, stiffening agents, wires of all gages, threads, ropes, twines, or woven… anything derived from fiberous origins. An introduction to both traditional and contemporary fiber artists will motivate you to look through your own stash of fiber based materials and source new materials with which you will construct works of a sculptural nature.  Minimum enrollment needed to run each class, so please don’t wait to register!
