Create Beautiful Ukrainian Easter Eggs in this three hour Pysanky workshop, use traditional Ukrainian folk designs, dyes, and a wax-resist method to create beautiful Ukrainian Easter eggs. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, “to write”, as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. You’ll learn how to use the wax stylus to draw traditional or contemporary designs on eggs, and use the strong dyes to color eggs just in time for Easter celebrations. This workshop will put the fun back in Easter egg decorating! People can’t wait until springtime to sign up for this popular workshop.This class is for beginner teens and adults.
